The Early Days
My name is Luke Dyson and I am 30 years old. I was born in Holmfirth, Huddersfield, but now I call Halifax my home. Looking back, it’s incredible how much my life has transformed since I discovered my passion for fighting.
Before I stumbled upon the world of combat sports, I was in a completely different place. I wasn’t in the best shape, and I found myself in a position where I wasn’t heading down a positive path. There were times when I was getting into trouble with the police, and it seemed like I was going nowhere fast.
However, the moment I stepped into the world of fighting, something inside me clicked. It was as if I had found my true calling. The discipline, dedication and hard work required in the sport resonated with me on a deep level. I knew that this was what I was meant to do and it was the turning point in my life.
Fighting didn’t just become a sport for me; it became a way of life. It provided me with focus, purpose, and a channel for my energy. Through countless hours of training and dedication, I transformed both my body and my mindset. It was through fighting that I found the strength and determination to leave behind my troubled past and build a brighter future for myself.
Right Now
My journey in the world of boxing and combat sports has been nothing short of incredible. One of the absolute highlights for me was stepping into that ring in Leeds on September 15th, 2023 and winning my first boxing title belt. It was everything I had dreamed of when I started this journey. I also hold six other title belts. including the the first world hybrid boxing champion belt. Another memorable moment for me is where I proposed to my love, Hannah Toy, in the ring. It was a moment of raw emotion and pure love, one I’ll cherish forever.
Fighting isn’t just about what happens inside the ring; it’s about the entire journey. My weekend job has opened doors I never could have imagined. Meeting legends like Kell Brook, getting to hear their stories, and learning from them—well, that’s a privilege and an inspiration I’ll never take for granted.
I’m not just another fighter in the crowd. I’ve earned my reputation on the UK fighting circuit, known for my warrior spirit and these hands that move faster than lightning. Whether it’s boxing, MMA, or any other combat sport, you can bet I’ll give it everything I’ve got, because for me, it’s not just about the win; it’s about putting on a show, entertaining the fans and leaving everything in that ring and then going home safe to my family.
